My idea for a Wreck-It Ralph sequel: Wreck-It Ralph Junior!

-->
Sort of how Wreck-It Ralph is a play on Donkey Kong, its sequel will be a play on Donkey Kong Junior.

PLOT: A new arcade cabinet has been collected by the old man and plugged in to the surge protector. He’s very excited because it’s a very rare addition! Wreck-It Ralph Junior! This new game starts out with a visual of Felix and the townsfolk celebrating on the building and Wreck-It Ralph is locked into a cage. Then we see a montage of Felix’s carpentry business taking off and he becoming mega rich and twisted by his inflated ego. He becomes the evil version of Felix, known as Felix-Ferocious (or possibly a new character called Cage-It Carl or something, as long as it’s just a clone of Felix with an evil look on his face), and the player plays as W.I.R. Junior trying to save his father.

Hit the jump for more!
Now, Wreck-It Ralph, seeing this new arcade cabinet installed directly across from his, and seeing himself be caged up, decides he wants to go into the other game and see if it’s all a show or if conditions for his other self are as bad as he had it in the first movie (even after the arcade closes). He’s worried about having another Wreck-It Ralph around and how weird that will be, but he decides to face his twin head on and deal with it as he goes. He invites Felix to accompany him over to shake hands and greet the new neighbors in the new arcade cabinet.

However, when Ralph and Felix explore WIR Junior’s gameworld, they have a hard time finding anyone to talk to. The “evil” bad guys used by Felix-Ferocious in the game as minions scurry away and hide at the sight of Ralph walking about (they are being bullied into working for Evil Felix). The townsfolk are sleeping in the alleyways and dump (Evil Felix bought the building and evicted them). And the stump (where Ralph would suspect to find W.I.R. Jr.) has been burned. Felix reflects on how he acted in the last movie, and has to face the fact that, had his ego continued, this is how he might have turned out.

At some point, Felix and Ralph find the end of the game and there sits a cardboard cutout of Wreck-It Ralph in a cage, and they realize that there is no other version of Ralph, but they’ve just seen this cutout used in game. Ralph is relieved at not having a clone, and Felix gets hopeful that maybe he doesn’t actually have a clone either (and therefore will always be his Good, honest self).

Suddenly, from out of nowhere, Felix-Ferocious jumps out and attacks the real Ralph. Evil Felix tries to get Good Felix to help him, but, upon realizing that he won’t, attacks him and forces him to retreat out of the game. Meanwhile, Ralph has been captured and placed in a cage, and Evil Felix cackles with joy at capturing something more than just a cutout.

MEANWHILE: There was more than just a Wreck-It Ralph Junior cabinet added to the arcade, but a Hero’s Duty 2 as well. In this new (and improved, LOOK AT THOSE GRAPHICS!) game, it starts out by showing the death of Sergeant Calhoun by the bugs. Seeing this new game, the Sergeant Calhoun of the first movie is completely depressed, knowing that she does all this work in her first game just to die in the second. Calhoun is spending time talking about her depression with Vanellope inside of the Sugar Rush game, and she’s also very sad about how all of the kids have been ignoring her game for the new one. They’re feeling a bit better as they watch the practice races, when, all of a sudden, a new race challenger enters the arena.

Junior Mint, he has named himself, but really it’s Wreck-It Ralph Junior! He’s sick of playing in his own game, where Evil Felix makes life no fun. He’s sick of trying to save his father, who is really just a cardboard cutout. He has always wanted to be a cart racer character, and he somehow has entered the race (with a medal “coin” he found from Good Felix, who dropped it when he was attacked by Evil Felix).

He wins the race, and has earned his spot on the character select screen, but it’s all very wrong and starts glitching out the game.

So, there’s my setup for a new movie.

Obviously, the ending would have to solve a few problems. Felix would have to find Junior and convince him that there’s a real WIR in trouble, Vanellope would have to get Junior out of her character select screen, they’d have to defeat Evil Felix and make him play by nicely, Ralph would have to cope with having a son, and somehow Calhoun would have to learn to cope with the Hero’s Duty 2 game (maybe he ends up going in it and beating it all by herself). I would love to see new gameworlds, such as some sort of fantasy world like Elder Scrolls and definitely some sort of homage to Minecraft.

Anyway, Disney, feel free to use any of my ideas on this blog post without my permission, on the condition that you include the Ice Climbers as a cameo in the next movie. ;-)

 Leave a comment with your ideas for a new movie! Which videogame characters should cameo in it? Which new gameworlds should be explored? Let me know!
